The people of the Sultana neighborhood in Manizales say they were
treated on a Christmas miracle when the virgin appeared after the visit
of a butterfly.
Esmeralda de Osorio, a local woman, was giving her house the Christmas clean-up when the butterfly entered her modest house. When the insect flapped its wings an image of the Mother of God appeared on the wall.
Despite calls by the community, the lcoal priest initially wouldn’t come to witness the heavenly appearance, but was convinced after a growing group of people gathered around the house.
Hundreds of neighbors have visited the house to observe the image left by the mystery insect.
