Venezuela’s Foreign Ministry vowed to collaborate with Colombian
authorities in the search for members of the FARC that Thursday killed
eight Colombian soldiers and then allegedly fled to the neighbor
country.
“The illegal armed forces of the different sides of the Colombian conflict know that they can not enter Venezuelan territory, can not break the law and will be fought with all possible force of the Venezuelan authorities,” Foreign Minister Nicolas Maduo said Thursday.
According to the Minister “it is our policy” to collaborate with Bogotá to capture the guerrillas.
Colombian President Alvaro Uribe Wednesday asked his Venezuelan counterpart Hugo Chavez to help catch the rebels that killed eight members of the Colombian military in the north eastern department of Guajira.
