Venezuela’s government confirmed Wednesday that the country has extradited three suspected guerrillas to Colombia.
The three, suspected of guerrilla activity with the ELN and FARC, were detained in Venezuela by the country’s authorities for “disturbing the peace and quiet of the Venezuelan people.”
Milton Navarro Mujica, alias “El Panadero” of the Domingo Lain Front of the ELN, is wanted for aggravated homicide, rebellion and kidnapping. Priscila Ayala Mateus is accused of being a member of the ELN and is wanted for rebellion, conspiracy, aggravated murder, robbery and kidnapping. Oswaldo Espinosa Baron, aliases “Farid” or “Falias,” joined the FARC in 1990 and is wanted for murder of protected persons, attempted murder, rebellion and illegal methods of warfare.
The Venezuelan government also announced that it still holds four Colombian citizens that do not have search warrants out for arrest in their home country. Venezuela will prosecute them on charges of kidnapping.
