A United States trade delegation arrived in Colombia Monday to further the implementation of the recently ratified free trade agreement between the two countries.
The delegation, headed by Miriam Sapiro, deputy trade representative of the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, will meet with Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos and Vice Trade Minister Gabriel Duque.
In addition, six U.S. congressmen, among them Republican and chairman of the House Rules Committee David Dreier, are also due to meet with President Santos, reported W Radio.
The Colombian government hopes that the FTA will enter into force within eight to 16 months.
