Uribe slams Supreme Court over FARC files decision

Former Colombian President Alvaro Uribe fiercely criticizes Colombia’s Supreme Court over the decision to declare the computer files seized from slain FARC leader “Raul Reyes” as inadmissible.

Uribe has been extremely active on his Twitter account Thursday morning, launching a series of attacks on the decision. “Justice? The innocents to jail [and] the evidence of terrorists dismissed!”

He maintained a regular output of criticisms throughout the morning, all under the trend of #Justice?:

“Justice? The military forces find the computers of terrorists, the justice dismisses them.”

“Justice? Testimony from refugees and criminals is received, terrorist writings are dismissed.”

“Justice? The army and police seized computers of the terrorist Reyes without manipulating them, Interpol certified it.”

“Justice? The innocent to jail and there is no criminal responsibility for the collaborators of narcoguerrillas.”

“Justice? Why do they not reveal the computers of [fallen FARC commander, Mono] Jojoy and the evidence about FARC-politics?

“Justice? The Court condemns us to bring down the kidnapper Reyes and give impunity to who collaborated with him.”

“Justice? What remains if justice is politicized?”

“Justice? Not only is there bias but they prove it!”

The Supreme Court ruled Wednesday that the files were inadmissible in court, which brought to an end the FARC-politics trial of former socialist Congressman Wilson Borja.

Borja, who announced that he will sue Uribe, among others, for defamation and slander, was not spared a mention during Uribe’s Twitter tirade, although the former president appeared more conciliatory towards him.

“With respect to Dr. Wilson Borja, an opponent of mine, it concerns me that unadulterated collected evidence is invalidated,” he stated, before adding a few minutes later that “I respect Dr. Wilson Borja because he has been consistent with his ideas and is respectable in his disagreement with me.”
