Bogota’s Philharmonic Orchestra will pay tribute to the victims of violence at one of Colombia’s most important cultural events, the bi-annual Iberoamerican Theater Festival (FITB).
The theater festival welcomes performances from all over the world. The festival lasts two weeks and aims to delight the public with all kinds of theater, dance, concerts and more.

The Philarmonic Orghestra of Bogota, celebrating its 47th anniversary, will perform within the event “Resilience of the land” in Bolivar Square on April 9. The “Resilience of the land” commemorates all those who fell victims to the country’s oldest armed conflict and will be one of the free of charge stagings and the show.
The performance will be coordinated by Colombia’s well known composer, Francisco Zumaque, and the acting director Humberto Dorado. Other Colombian personalities such as actor Nicolas Montero and world’s famous baritone Valeriano Lanchas will also perform during the event.
April 9 is the National Day of Victims and has been celebrated since 2011, when President Juan Manuel Santos denominated this date to remember those affected by the ongoing armed conflict.
