Training accident kills soldier in northern Colombia

A training accident on Wednesday killed one soldier and wounded five others during a training accident in northern Colombia.

According to local reports, the accident took place on the Urra Army Base in the department of Cordoba.

Preliminary reports said a grenade exploded in the hands of a soldier, instantly killing him and wounding those around him.

Of the wounded, two were taken were taken to a hospital for surgery. The other three were said to have not suffered serious wounds.
