Colombia news - Hernan Torres

Deportes Tolima returned to winning ways in the Colombian Liga Postobon, beating Cortulua 3-0 to keep the pressure on for leaders Santa Fe.

Jorge Perlaza broke the deadlock after 31 minutes of the match between Tolima and Cortulua, and an own goal from Carlos Terranova doubled the deficit in the 69th.

Perlaza went on to net his second in the 75th for a 3-0 final result.

Cucuta Deportivo risk dropping several spots this weekend after losing 1-2 to the hands of Independiente Medellin. All goals were scored in the first half, with Medellin taking a comfortable lead through Nelson Barahona and Luis Arias. Wilson Carpintero converted a spot kick in the 37th minute but Medellin held on to their 1-2 lead in the second half.

Junior hosted Once Caldas in Barranquilla, in a match that ended 2-2 with Carlos Bacca scoring both goals for the home team. Felix Micolta and Dayro Moreno found the target for the guests.

In the day’s remaining game, Millonarios beat America de Cali 2-0 for what is only their second victory of the season. Jose Amaya and Carlos Saa scored for the Bogota outfit.
