Suspected child abuser lynched

A suspected Bogota child abuser died of a heart attack while being lynched by his neighbors, newspaper El Espectador reported Monday.

The inhabitants of Britalia, a neighborhood in the south of Colombia’s capital, took the law into their own hands and beat the 71-year-old suspected abuser to revenge the man’s alleged violation of a minor girl.

However, the man suffered from a heart attack during the attack and had to be transferred to hospital. The 71-year-old died after a couple of hours in hospital.

It is unclear whether the suspected child abuser died because of the beating or because of his age.
