Stefany Giraldo Pino has been chosen to represent the Cesar Department in Colombia’s national beauty pageant.
The 21-year-old social communications student, who hails from the municipality of Gamarra in Colombia’s eastern Cesar department, was chosen because of her “beauty, intelligence, charisma and simplicity”, according to local newspaper El Pais Vallenato.
“I carry my attitude, my stubbornness, my happiness, my inner and outer beauty and the best thing I carry is a very large soul filled with good intentions”, she said to El Pais Vallenato.
Giraldo is no stranger to philanthropy. She works with an organization that helps underprivileged children in Colombia.
She will now represent Cesar over the next year and will also compete in the national Miss Colombia pageant, held in Cartagena in November.
