Soldiers die in minefield

At least five soldiers died and two were injured in a minefield on the border of the southern Huila and Caqueta departments.

According to Caracol Radio, the soldiers were on patrol near the village of Puerto Rico where FARC guerrillas had been carrying out an offensive.

The injured soldiers were taken to a hospital in Florencia, the capital of the Caqueta department.
