Colombia’s prized actress Sofia Vergara will receive her Hollywood Walk of Fame star in 2015, according to a press release on Thursday.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced on Thursday the “Class of 2015 Star Honorees” who will receive their stars in the coming year, including Vergara and other celebrities such as Amy Poehler, Will Ferrell, and Daniel Radcliffe, according to the Hollywood Walk of Fame website.

Vergara has become a sensation in the entertainment industry thanks to her character, Gloria Pritchett, in the popular TV series “Modern Family.” She has been nominated for four Golden Globes Awards as well as several Emmys and Screen Actors Guild (SAG) awards, Colombia’s El Tiempo newspaper reported.

The cast of Modern Family received the 2011 SAG award for “Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series,” according to the SAG website.

Vergara will join fellow Colombian pop star Shakira in the Walk of Fame, who received her own star in 2011.

Other standout Latin performers featured in the Walk of Fame include Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin and singer/actress Rita Moreno, as well as Cuban pop stars Gloria and Emilio Estefan and Celia Cruz, according to El Tiempo.
