Sofia Vergara to pose nude for animal rights: claims

Colombia’s beloved actress Sofia Vergara may do a photo shoot without clothing for a new campaign by the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), the international organization for animal rights, local news reported on Wednesday.

Vergara will strip down to her birthday suit in support of a campaign to raise awareness about the use of animal skins in products as well as the general maltreatment of animals, Bogota’s Caracol Radio reported.

The Barranquilla-born bombshell joins Hollywood celebrities such as Eva Mendez who have also bared-it-all for PETA to protest the use of animal skins in designer clothing and accessories, Colombia’s RCN Radio reported.

PETA is the largest animal rights group in the world, counting over three million members and supporters. One of their central focuses is animal rights in the entertainment industry, according to their official webpage.

In June, it was announced that the star of the hit television series “Modern Family” will receive a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame alongside Amy Poehler, Will Ferrell, and Daniel Radcliffe in 2015.
