Swiss watchmaker Hublot donated $100,000 Wednesday to a United Nations program on Colombia’s Caribbean coast, after touring the area with superstar striker Radamel Falcao earlier this year.
The money will go to through the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime before reaching Cienaga Grande, a comunity near the coastal city of Santa Marta.
Hubolt’s involvement with the city was initiated by Colombian national team striker Radamel Falcao Garcia, a native of Santa Marta who now plays his club football for AS Monaco in the French Ligue 1.

Faclao took representatives from Hublot to the community in June of this year, visiting some of the programs that the U.N. supports there in conjunction with local authorities.
The programs, initiated three years ago, include grass-root development projects like small-scale fishing, fish farming and animal breeding.
During the previous visit the Hubolt delegation came up with the idea of creating recreational facilities, to make up for gaps in the local infraestructure.
Hublot representatives say the donation will be used to build sports facilities where the inhabitants will be able to participate in activities such as basketball, volleyball and, of course, soccer.
