Colombian pop princess Shakira will finally join the ranks of Hollywood’s most famous on November 8 with her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce will be honoring the pint-sized star with the 2,354th star on the Walk of Fame, located at the world famous corner of Hollywood and Vine Boulevard.
The special Shakira star has been long awaited, after the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce first announced she would be awarded one in 2008.
“The Hollywood Walk of Fame is an internationally-recognized Hollywood icon. With approximately 24 star ceremonies annually broadcast around the world, the constant reinforcement provided to the public has made the Walk of Fame a top visitor attraction. The Walk of Fame is a tribute to all of those who worked diligently to develop the concept and to maintain this world-class tourist attraction,” according to the Walk of Fame official website.
The award ceremony will feature Hollywood Chamber of Commerce President/CEO Leron Gubler as the emcee and will be located at 6270 Hollywood Boulevard, in front of the W Hollywood Hotel. The event starts promptly at 11:30AM.
