Colombia’s most famous stars, singer Shakira and actress Sofia Vergara, are among the 100 most powerful women in the world, said Forbes magazine Wednesday.
Shakira occupied 40th place in the ranking, two places behind Puerto Rican singer Jennifer Lopez. Shakira sold over 50 million albums throughout her career and won two Grammy and seven Latin Grammy awards.
Vergara occupies the 75th place in the Most Powerful Women ranking.
For the second year, Angela Merkel German Chancellor is the world’s No. 1 Most Powerful Woman.
