Journalists in Los Angeles have gotten a sneak peak at how Shakira performs as a host for the talent show The Voice, before the show’s premiere on March 25.
Although The Voice doesn’t debut until March 25, a handful of L.A. journalists were invited to view the premier of the program to help build excitement around the fourth season and see new co-hosts, Shakria and Usher, live in action. The newbies will work hard to prove themselves worthy judges as they join opinionated veterans, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine. So far the media has said that Shakira has settled in quite nicely and is a delight to watch.
“Shakira, meanwhile, is less like a diva and more of a delight — her precious accent making her all the more winsome, especially when she starts to talk trash by calling Levine’s season one win ‘beginner’s luck,'” said Lynette Rice, of Entertainment Weekly.

Shakira has only temporarily moved to the US for the filming of the talent show. She still calls the city of Barcelona in Spain her home, where she resides with her family. She will work hard to maintain a close family relationship with her soccer star boyfriend, Gerard Pique, while in the U.S..
