According to Spanish media, the pop princess could have introduced the player to Barranquilla carnival queen Giselle Lacouture while Puyol was on tour in Miami with his team, Barcelona.
Shakira was there to support her own Spanish football hunk, Puyol’s teammate Pique, and the fact that the pint-sized star also happens to hail from Barranquilla is leading the gossip rags to ask questions.
Puyol was still romantically attached to model Malena Costa during the Miami game, but Giselle visited him in Barcelona some time after.
