Colombia’s police have announced the capture of a suspected serial rapist who is accused of at least 13 sexual assaults of women and minors in northeast Bogota.
Bogota Metropolitan Police captured Diego Reyes, alias “Totono,” in the center of the capital after an investigation by the sex crimes unit, SIJIN, which compared numerous cases of sexual assault and found similarities in the description of the suspect and his mode of transportation.
According to the National Police website, the accused allegedly rode a bicycle and intimidated his victims — ranging from 14 to 19 years of age — with a white gun, assaulted them and robbed them of their belongings.
In February, Bogota police captured a man accused of over 40 sexual assaults.
