Colombia news - Santa Fe

Atletico Huila and Junior had their match suspended after 68 minutes on Saturday, as result of a power blackout. The score at that time was 1-1. The remainder was played on Sunday morning, with Ivan Velasquez scoring in the 86th minute to give Huila a 2-1 victory.

Boyaca Chico kept hope alive with a 1-0 win over Deportivo Pasto. The only goal of the match was scored by Henrry Palacios with just three minutes left to play in Tunja. Pasto’s Carlos Hidalgo was sent off in the 60th minute.

Real Cartagena earned a vital 2-1 win over Deportivo Cali, who had taken an early lead through Sergio Herrera. Jose Najera first equalized in the 65th minute, to add a winning goal one minute later.

Cucuta no longer have a chance to finish in the top eight following a 2-1 defeat at Independiente Medellin. Luis Arias scored both of DIM’s goals, while only Juan Escobar found the target for the guests.

In the remaining match, Deportes Tolima beat La Equidad 0-2 to move into fourth place. Davinson Monsalve scored in the 12th minute, and Wilmer Diaz did so in the 44th.

Medellin and Huila are already certain of a spot in the next round. Pasto, Tolima, Pereira, Nacional, Junior and Santa Fe complete the top eight but have not yet qualified.

Millonarios, Chico, Cartagena and Cali all still have a chance to end up in the top eight, although the situation is extremely complicated for Cali following their loss at Cartagena.
