Is Mexican film star Salma Hayek really a Bogotana? Her aunt
and cousins assured that Salma was born in Colombia’s capital.
According to interviewed relatives, the Hollywood actress is not Mexican at all.
The “Countdown Stories” of Colombian television channel NTN24 met an aunt and cousins of Salma, who both claim that the dark-haired beauty was born in Bogota and that her familiy is from Guamo, in the Tolima department.
The aunt says that Salma’s grandfather came from Syria to Colombia in the year 1920, settled in the country and had 20 children, most of whom emigrated to Mexico.
Hayek has not commented on this subject so far.
