The recent winner of the reality series “Protagonistas de Nuestra Tele” (Stars of Our Television) Wednesday turned down a two-year acting scholarship.
After 15 grueling episodes and dominating various acting competitions, 23-year-old Sara Uribe from Medellin took home the win in the women’s category only to turn down the acting scholarship portion of the prize package.
Her total prize package included approximately $50,000, a car, a two-year acting scholarship with RCN Television and a one-year contract with RCN Television. In the end, Sara decided to give up the acting scholarship because she wanted to pursue her dreams of being a TV host. She is currently presenting one day a week on Style RCN.
Sara started as a fashion model; doing ads in clothing magazines and television. She studied media in school and began her career at Teleantioquia, a public television station in the Antioquia department. She hosted the program “Venga a Mi Pueblo” and will continue on the track of being a TV presenter.
