"FARC and ELN seek rapprochement"

The commanders of Colombian rebel groups FARC and ELN are seeking
rapprochement to unitedly fight the Colombian government, Colombia’s
High Commissioner of Peace Luis Carlos Restrepo said.

The official told newspaper El Tiempo there is a “great intellectual affinity” between ‘Alfonso Cano’ of the FARC and ‘Antonio García’ of the ELN. “Nowadays we have academics leading the Colombian terrorist organizations,” Restrepo told the newspaper.
