An accountant for the prosecutor’s office in the Quindio department was murdered by two gunmen on a motorcycle.
Clara Alicia Giraldo was shot while driving her car in the west-central department’s capital, Armenia, El Espectador reported Friday.
The motives are unknown, although police hope that analysis of her body will provide some evidence with which to track down the attackers.
Eyewitnesses saw the perpetrators approach the car and fire at the accountant but not at her assistant, who was traveling with her. The vehicle then veered off the road and crashed into the lane separator, reports Terra Colombia.
