Colombian police seize $44M of criminal assets

Colombian police on Sunday said they have seized some 135 assets of alleged criminals with a combined value of $400 million.

Operations to seize the criminal proporties were carried out in eight regions, the authorities told local media.

Among the assets were businesses, apartments, houses, land and luxury vehicles.

The majority of assets belonged to the extradited Jose Guillermo Gallon Henao, alias “Abraham,” who has been accused by a Texas court for trafficking cocaine for the Mexican Sinaloa cartel.
