Police in Antioquia announced they arrested 39 hitmen, related to the
“Office of Envigado”, a criminal organization held responsible for at
least 70 percent of the crimes in the department.
The “sicarios” were arrested in several municipalities in the department.
The Office of Envigado is a remnant of paramilitary organization AUC allegedly based in the Medellín’s neighbor city Envigado.
