PG wants ‘Don Mario’ excluded from ‘Justice and Peace’ law

Colombia’s Prosecutor General wants ‘Don Mario’ to be excluded from
possible judicial benefits, because the alleged drug lord and former
member of demobilized paramilitary organization AUC never collaborated
with justice.

As a former member of the Self Defense Foces of Colombia (AUC), Daniel ‘Don Mario’ Rendón could enjoy benefits if he decides to collaborate with justice, but according to the PG’s Office, ‘Don Mario’ never actually collaborated, despite initially having indicated he would.

The Attorney General agrees with the Prosecution and claims “there has been no willingness to confess his crimes” and he has not shown he is willing to stop his criminal activities.
