Canadian oil company Pacific Rubiales announced record oil production of 242,000 barrels per day in its Latin American operational update, in a company press release Wednesday.
The Toronto-based company presented an operational update of its exploration activities in Colombia, Peru, and Guatemala.
Roanld Pantin CEO of the company said “we are very pleased with the progress of our activities. We continue advancing our production goals.”
He went on to say “we are in the middle of an intense exploratory campaign which should lead to the finalizing of the incorporation of new reserves, which will support our goals for growth.”
The company is continuing its exploration of the Rubiales-Piriri fields which has four wells, as well as in Quifa Southeast and Quifa North fields. The company has also started exploratory drilling of the Topoyaco and Arauca Blocks.
For the CPE-6 Block in the Eastern Plains, Colombia’s National Hydrocarbons Agency (ANH) has approved the conversion of Technical Evaluation Agreement (TEA) into an Exploration and Production (E&P) contract, opening the door for exploration campaign in this block.
