‘FARC’ attacks kill soldier, damage police station

Suspected FARC attacks in southern Colombia have killed a soldier and damaged a police station, local media reported Friday.

The soldier died following a gunshot wound to the chest after an attack by an armed gang in the Milan municipality, Caqueta department.

Shots were also fired at a police station in the nearby Solita municipality, the second in the past month against the authorities’ headquarters. No one was injured.

Caqueta authorities have attributed both attacks to the FARC.
