One million counterfeit dollars found in Antioquia

Colombia’s security service decommissioned one million counterfeit dollars from exchange houses in the western municipality of Itagüí in the department of Antioquia.

The western part of the country was chosen for its high percentage of remissions-sending migrants in the U.S. and Europe, reported Caracol Radio.

The dollars were printed on strongly washed stock of the Venezuelan bolívar. DAS, the security service, will investigate to find the facilities and operators.
