Colombi news - Liga Postobon

Colombian league leaders Once Caldas delivered yet another convincing performance on Saturday, beating Deportes Quindio 5-1 in Manizales.

Once Caldas needed just eight minutes for Dayro Moreno to open the scoring against Quindio, and the hosts doubled their lead through Mario Gonzales 11 minutes later.

Moreno then added another two goals in the 33rd and 35th minutes to leave the match all but decided.

Juan Caicedo pulled one back for Quindio in the 65th minute, but Oscar Murillo restored the four-goal gap eight minutes later.

Meanwhile, Independiente Medellin earned a 3-1 win over Deportes Tolima despite going a goal down early on as Diego Chara found the target after just four minutes.

Santiago Trellez restored the balance just three minutes later, and Luis Mosquera converted a penalty kick to hand Medellin the lead in the 20th minute. Six minutes after the break, Cesar Valoyes made it 3-1.

Earlier on Saturday, Independiente Santa Fe hosted La Equidad in a Bogota derby. The game seemed headed for a goalless result but Santa Fe finally broke the deadlock in the 90th minute as Leider Preciado beat goalkeeper Novoa for a 1-0 victory.

The match between Deportivo Cali and Millonarios did end without goals. The most important event in this game was a second yellow card to Cali’s Breiner Belalcazar in added time.

On Sunday, third-placed Itagüi Ditaires host America de Cali while Atletico Nacional play away to Atletico Huila.
