Colombia news - Felix Micolta

Once Caldas have one foot in the final of the Colombian Liga Posotobon following a 3-2 win over Atletico Nacional on Sunday. Santa Fe continue to lead the other group.

Independiente Santa Fe visited Atletico Huila on Saturday, in an attempt to maintain their lead in Group A of the semi final round.

But the match in Neiva had been under way just three minutes when Rafael Castillo scored what turned out to be the only goal of the game, 1-0.

As such, Deportes Tolima could jump to the top of the group with a win at La Equidad, but instead suffered a 1-0 defeat. Sherman Cardenas provided the winning goal in the 72nd minute.

Tolima will be without Christian Marrugo in their next game, after the player received a second yellow card in injury time.

Once Caldas hosted Atletico Nacional in Manizales and led 2-0 by half time with goals from Felix Micolta and Dayro Moreno. Another goal was added by Micolta six minutes after the break.

Nacional then attempted a come-back with Humberto Mendoza scoring from the penalty spot in the 63rd minute and Ezequiel Maggiolo netting a second in the 77th, but Once Caldas avoided further damage in the remainder of the match.

Once Caldas extend their lead in this group to four points as nearest rivals Deportes Quindio lost 1-0 at Cucuta Deportivo. Diego Peralta scored the only goal in the first minute of added time.
