Official threatened over vehicle register investigation: Comptroller

Infrastructure Comptroller Nelson Izaciga has received threats for starting an investigation into the National Driving and Vehicle Register, according to the comptroller general.

Caracol Radio reported that the comptroller general, Sandra Morelli, said the threats showed there was no control of contractors to ensure they met their obligations in a way that guaranteed the security of the register.

She went on to denounce the leaking of information about the Comptroller General’s Office investigations into public finances.
