New UN human rights chief visits Colombia

The newly appointed United Nation’s High Commissioner for Human Rights, Navanethem
Pillay, is in Colombia for a week long official visit, The UN announced.

The UN official will meet Colombian President Álvaro Uribe, ministers and members of Congress, the courts and UN workers in the country to discuss “a range of human rights concerns.”
