Three bombs exploded it the central Colombian city of Neiva in the first five days of 2011.
According to local authorities the series of bombings are the work of extortionists who are retaliating towards businesses that refuse to pay protection money.
The city’s government secretary told Colombian state radio that the attacks so far have not caused any fatalities, but did injure one girl and have caused severe damage to buildings.
The Huila department’s police commissioner did not rule out that militias of the FARC, a guerrilla group highly active in the region, are behind the attacks.
Local authorities offer a 100 million peso ($53,000) award for information leading to the perpetrators.
