Atletico Nacional and La Equidad held each other to a 1-1 draw in the opening match of this year’s Copa Mustang II.
Just two weeks after Once Caldas’ victory in the final of the Copa Mustang I, also known as ‘Apertura’, the second tournament of the year kicked off with a high-profile clash at Medellin’s Atanasio Girardot stadium.
The first goal of the season, also known as ‘Clausura’, came from Nacional’s Baiano in the 18th minute.
But 11 minutes into the second half, the visitors from Bogota levelled through Jherson Cordoba.
No more goals were scored in the remainder of the match, despire a clear dominance from La Equidad.
