The 59-year old farmer from Mariquita, Tolima, who’s suspected of
having eight children with his daughter, wants a DNA test to prove he
is not the woman’s biological father.
According to Canal RCN, the defense of the ‘Monster of Mariquita’, will try to prove the innocence of the farmer by providing innocence the man is not the victim’s biological father and therefore can not be tried for incest.
“This is a scientific test that inevitably will allow us to construct the truth,” lawyer José Ricardo Ramos said.
The defense also claims the sex that took place was consensual and there has never been any rape.
According to the television station, the defense is trying to request bail for their client, allowing him to await trial in freedom.
