Miss Colombia Daniella Alvarez has signed her name on the list to compete for the coveted Miss Universe crown.
On December 19 in Las Vegas, the 5’8″ Colombian will battle beauties from around the world in swimsuits and evening gowns to see who is the most glamorous and who has saved the most puppies. The competition was moved from its usual summer date so as not to clash with the London Olympics.
The 24-year-old beauty queen has had an unusual 13 months to prepare for the ultimate pageant and should by now be adept at applying her own makeup, which according to El Colombiano, all participants must do for the competition.
This years’ makeup theme is allegedly based on the seasons of the year, these naturally being Exuberant Spring, Fiery Summer, Radiant Autumn and Brilliant Winter.
Alvarez has been learning the technique of applying her own makeup from the country’s most talented, and has also been learning the important art of painting her nails, which hopefully will be made up to match her seasonal face.
