After a sell-out tour of the U.S., Spain, Mexico and parts of South America, Mexican rock band MANA announced they will perform two shows in Bogota and Medellin.
It has been four years since the biggest rock band in the Spanish-speaking world has returned to Colombia. Tickets are sure sell like wildfire as the show is being billed as one of the best productions in the world.
MANA’s latest album, “Drama y Luz” (Drama and Light), has received rave reviews and set all kinds of records, comparable in number to Lady Gaga and U2. They are also the only rock band in history (regardless of language) to have performed two sets of four sold-out concerts at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
Drama y Luz spent the most weeks at number one on Billboard’s 2011 Latin charts while awarding the band several Grammy awards.
The band sold 100,000 tickets for their U.S. tour in just 24 hours, making them the biggest Latin rock phenomenon in the history of North America.
The concerts will take place March 1 and 3, at Bogota’s Corferias and Medellin’s Polideportivo Envigado respectively. Ticket sales have yet to be announced.
