According to the police it was a smokescreen set up by ‘The Twins’ to keep the police away from him, Caracol Radio reports.“I have no doubt that Mejia Múnera had something to do with protests. This is part of a joint strategy with the guerrillas to manipulate the peasants and avoid the presence of the security forces,” explained Oscar Naranjo, director of the National Police.
