Medellin babes take soccer to whole new level

Colombia News - Divas Futbol

Arguably the most beautiful soccer team in the world can be found in Colombia’s second city Medellin, reported MSN Colombia.

The ball-juggling bimbos, known as “The Divas” were originally formed by, surprisingly, two men, who felt the world of soccer was lacking eye candy.

“We had no problems in recruiting players. Fortunately we are in Medellin,” says Alejandro Duque, referring to the city’s reputation for being a hotbed of hotties.

So great was the response that the team has a bulging 42-person squad, with ages ranging from 16-42 years old.

But any fears that this rag-tag mob of faded models and future show-wives might take the sport seriously are dashed by their lack of concern for appropriate attire.

“Most play in makeup,” said 35-year-old ex-model Luz Maria Diez. “We have hairstyles, makeup and fake nails,” she added.

Surprisingly, the team has been popular at the events in which they have appeared. “The public reaction has been very good,” said Duque. “The fans appreciate they are playing very good football.”

That’s right, good soccer is always appreciated.
