International superstar Marc Anthony will perform in concert on the opening day of Colombia’s biggest carnival, local media reported Friday.
Silvestre Dangond, J Alvarez and the Rosario brothers will join Anthony on stage at Barranquilla’s Tomas Arrieta stadium on the opening day of Carnaval on Saturday.
The show, entitled “Icons,” is named after his 11th album, which revisits old Latin ballads and pays homage to idols such as Jose Jose, Jose Luis Perales, Juan Gabriel and Roberto Carlos.
Two-time Grammy-winner and three-time Latin Grammy-winner Anthony is the top-selling tropical salsa artist of all time, and has sold more than 12 million albums worldwide.
