Cali man arrested for ties to Mexican drug cartel

Police arrest a man Cali, Colombia, for suspected ties to the Mexican Sinaloa drug cartel, reported newspaper El Tiempo Thursday.

Julio Enrique Ayala Muñoz, alias “El Condor,” was arrested by Colombian police and members of the U.S.’s DEA and transferred to Bogota Thursday morning.

He is suspected to have ties to known narco-traffickers, the Comba brothers, and to have worked with Jaoquin “Chapo” Guzman, leader of the Sinaloa cartel.

Muñoz faces potential extradition to the U.S., reported newspaper El Pais Thursday
