Alicia de Rojas, one of Colombia’s most famous television actresses has died after a 60-year career, reported local media on Thursday.
The actress died on Wednesday, but her family didn’t announce her passing away until the day after.
Colombian media were contradictory regarding her age. Some media said De Rojas died at 80, while others said she was 92.
Either way, De Rojas’ career began in 1949, with her role in the radio drama “The Right to be Born.”
She also performed roles on television in shows such as “Stillwater” and “Isabel watched me,” and is remembered for her roles in films in productions such as “The time of Dying” and “Maximum Penalty.”
Her starring role was in the 1984 soap opera production of “Mrs Bernarda.”
