Junior have more than a foot in the final of the Colombian Liga Postobon, following a 3-1 win over Independiente Medellin in the semifinals.
Things started well for defending champions Medellin as Luis Arias put Leonel Alvarez’s side ahead on just three minutes but Victor Cortes levelled the score nine minutes later.
Cortes went on to complete the turn-around in the 25th minute and Giovanni Hernandez set the score to 3-1 nine minutes after the hour.
The return leg in this semifinal tie will be played on Sunday, May 23, with Medellin’s Atanasio Girardot stadium as the venue.
