Italy finds Botero innocent of tax evasion

After two years of litigation, an Italian court absolved Colombian painter and sculptor Fernando Botero of tax evasion charges.

Italian authorities claimed that Botero must pay taxes on the artworks, which are all produced in Italian factories and then distributed worldwide.

Botero is “greatly relieved” that the controversial case is now over, reports W Radio.
