The President of Honduras on Monday called the sex party that occurred in the Honduran embassy in Bogota an “unfortunate incident” and defended the former ambassador.
According to local media, Honduras’ President, Porfirio Lobo, at a Monday press conference said it was “an unfortunate incident at the headquarters of the Honduran Embassy in Bogota. [It was] unfortunate because Carlos Rodriguez [the ambassador] is a great man and a good citizen and [is] sorry [about] what happened.”
The former ambassador is an economist by trait and owns a small chain of radio stations in Honduras.
Rodriguez, who allegedly did not play a role in the sex orgy that included theft, defecation, and prostitutes, resigned on Saturday.
“My diplomatic mission was marred by some unfortunate [instance], and the valuation is painful [and] complicated; responsibility falls on me and I accept it,” said Rodriguez.
The man behind the fiasco reportedly was Rodriguez’s friend and former bodyguard.
According to the former ambassador, the notorious bodyguard, who was living in the embassy, “took care of my wife and my daughters, and my personal stuff. [He] was someone close, who had all my confidence.”
