30 Seconds to Mars, the American rock band fronted by Jared Leto, has confirmed a Bogota gig on April 6 on their official website.
Formed by brothers Shannon and Jared Leto in 1997, the Los Angeles-based band now includes Tomo Milicevic on lead guitar. For their upcoming tour to promote their newest album “This is War,” the group will expand to include Matt McJunkins on bass and Braxton Olita on keyboard.
30 Seconds to Mars’ sound hails from an earlier era; their post-grunge style is reminiscent of the Seattle garage band phenomenon of the ’90s. Furthering the comparison, lead singer Leto, who rose to fame in the popular teen drama “My So-Called Life,” happens to resemble the king of grunge, Kurt Cobain of Nirvana.
Colombian fans will be able to rock out like it’s 1993 (and the ladies will enjoy a glimpse of the lovely Leto) when 30 Seconds to Mars plays the Palacio de Deportes in Bogota.
