Colombian TV celeb accepts guilt to fraud charges

Former TV host Adriana Arango and her husband Hugo Javier Coy accepted charges of fraud on Thursday.

Colombia’s Prosecution accused the couple of fraud and massive illegal money raising through a pyramid scheme.

According to the Prosecutor General, Arango and Coy founded a flower exporting company to earn illegally more than 12 billion pesos, around US$ 5.5 million, by deceiving 154 people.

The couple accepted the charges and will receive a mitigation of punishment for their confession, local media reported. Arango and Coy face a sentence of up to 24 months.
