Former governor surrenders

Former governor of Casanare William Pérez Esquivel surrendered to
authorities. He was wanted for his alleged ties to paramilitary groups.

Pérez is suspected of having sponsored and having been sponsored by paramilitary groups in the department he governed.

The former governor already has been condemned by the Attorney General’s office for his links to the paramilitary group of ‘Martin Llanos’.
